Recently, stainless steel O rings on a Cloudbase harness were found to have poor quality welds. Sample O rings were tested to determine load carrying capacity remaining should the weld have completely failed. O rings with completely failed welds in a "C" shape configuration still carry 100kgs each (220lbs.). Given the highest loaded O rings on the harness being where the leg straps clip on, 2 places, 100% safety margin can still be considered valid even for a 100kg pilot at 1g.

• Carry out inspection of Cloudbase Harness O rings.
• Check webbing areas for fraying that are in contact with O rings.
