Unfortunately, looks like the land is for sale. Methinks the owners got a sneaky re-zoning in as part of the Mountain Bike Park resource consent.

Hi All

Paddy just advised me that the land owner of the launch for Barnett Park is not happy and we are not allowed to launch from his land.

Please be aware of this restriction and if you see anyone attempting to fly from there, let them know. We don't want to annoy the landowner further.

The other option for launch to land in Barnett Park is to launch from the towers.

Tomorrow we play cricket at Taylors.
It looks like light north easterlies all day.
Hang Gliders vs Paragliders vs Speed Wings.
There will be wickets set up on Sumner beach and/or at Taylors Mistake car park landing.
The team that takes out the most wickets before 3pm wins!
Judges word is final. Video evidence encouraged.
A BBQ will be set up in Taylors car park when the match is over.
Hot dogs on the club. BYO drinks and a deck chair to watch the cricket.
This is about having fun!
