A new aerodrome application is being processed by CAA for Tawhaki on Kaikorete Spit.
They will be opening a UAV research and testing area. This includes a recently created
danger area, NZR902 south from Birdlings Flat. Anyone wanting to fly here must check
NOTAMs before flying.
